Eligibility Criteria of the scheme

Girl child must be born on or after August 15, 1997.Must belong to a Below Poverty Line (BPL) household.Only two girl children per eligible family can benefit.

At birth ₹500 one-time Enrolled in Class 1 ₹300 Class 2 ₹500 Class 3 ₹600 Class 4 ₹700 Class 5 ₹800 Class 6–7 ₹1,000 per yearThe funds are deposited into a bank or post office account opened in the girl's name.Money is withdrawable after attaining 18 years, subject to conditions like being unmarried and having continued education.
